LIVING WITH THE EDGE

emerging from the Harlem River, integration of water as part of the architecture feeds and supports life within. water and structure act as one system, defining space and nature throughout. a void at the base invites in the river and residents alike, preparing the site for housing amidst the city's rising waters. as one reaches the roof where rainwater collects and filters, the city chaos begins to fade away; enveloped by nature and the sky overhead, residents find a moment of repose.
